NOTE: Other Churches/Parishes may require some other documents and/or seminars not specified below. To be sure, inquire at the parish office of the church you wish to be married in.

1. Baptismal and Confirmation Certificates: These relates to both the bride's and the groom's. These must be new copies and must have an annotation: "FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES ONLY" and must have been secured not more than three (3) months before the date of marriage.

FOR MIXED MARRIAGE (different religions or Disparitas Cultas): a dispensation must be secured from the Archdiocesan Chancery Office at the Arzobispado de Manila, 121 Arzobispo St., Intramuros, Manila (near Manila Cathedral). The forms will be provided at the Parish Office which will be released after the canonical interview with the Parish Priest or his assistant. These have to be submitted one week before the wedding.

2. Marriage License: This can be secured from the city or municipality hall where either the bride or the groom currently resides.
For those who are civilly married, a certified true photocopy of the Marriage Contract with the registry number of the city or town where the marriage was performed must be submitted one week before the wedding date.

3. Canonical Interview: This interview with the bride and the groom will be done one month before the wedding date and will be conducted by the parish priest or his assistant. The schedule of the interview will be given upon the signing of the application form. Failure to report on the interview date or failure to notify the office of any change in the schedule will mean cancellation of the application and reservation of the church for the upcoming wedding.

4. Pre-Marriage Seminar: Both the bride and the groom have to attend this. The schedule for the seminar will be given during the canonical interview or you may inquire at the parish office. Some churches may allow attendance in other pre-wedding seminars such as the Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) or Discovery Weekend (DW) as a suitable substitute (if you have already attended either one of these, inquire at the parish office if they recognize either CEE or DW in lieu of their Pre-Marriage Seminar.)

5. Permission from bride's parish: a permit from the parish of the bride-to-be must be secured and presented to the parish office of the couple's chosen ceremony venue. The form will be provided by the parish office of your chosen church.

6. Marriage Banns: These will be provided during the canonical interview and have to be immediately brought to the respective parishes of the bride and the groom for posting. These have to be returned to the office after three Sundays. (Note: the respective parishes may ask some requirements for the posting of the banns [i.e. a ID picture from the bride and the groom])

7. List of names and addresses of principal sponsors (Ninongs & Ninangs): This has to be submitted to the parish office one week before the wedding date. Church policy requires at least a pair of sponsors and, ideally, a maximum of six sponsors.

Additional Requirements for Specific Cases

for widows or widowers: A copy of the death certificate of the former spouse must be presented to the parish office.

for Renewal of Vows: remember to bring a copy of the Catholic Marriage Contract.

  • Lip color -- Keep your brilliant smile perfect all day long.
  • Foundation-- Maintain your flawless look.

  • Sculpting gel -- For major fixes.
  • Pocket brush/comb -- Naturally.

Don't Get Caught Without:

  • Extra stockings -- In case of a bad run.
  • Tissues or a pretty hankie -- Trust us, you'll cry.
  • A needle and thread -- If you need this, you'll really need it. Include the appropriate thread for you and your Bridesmaids.
  • A headache remedy and antacid tablets -- For butterflies and stress. If you take any other medication, you should toss it into your 911 kit as well.

A w@w find too...I got the services of Ria Madamba less than a month from my wedding day (after another wedding coordinator backed out kase 2 na daw ang weddings niya sa January na weekday so din a siya puwedeng magleave sa office niya – how professional). She was the last supplier I
booked. And as if made for each other kami… when I first talked to her, my mom overheard her surname and asked how she is related to the Madambas in Marulas. Later on we realized that her mother in law is actually my mom's cousin, her father in law was a good friend of my
dad, her brother in law is my brother's barkada in Notre Dame and she is a fellow Gracean, a friend of my sister! What a coincidence. Hehe!
We immediately hit it off. Sobrang daldal, bubbly, full of ideas, you will immediately feel comfortable with her. Alam mong she'll take care of you on your wedding day. Her team of 4 were great. Yung resident emcee nila na si Jem is sooo good! Ang galing maghost. Wala
akong masabi. ? Ganda ng outfit nila during my wedding. Di ako nagkamali. Everything is accounted for. Lahat ng gamit, lahat ng bagay. She took care of the gifts left at the hotel entrance. Sabi ng guests, ang ayos daw ng wedding (except for some minor problems like
yung setting ng projector and nung laptop ni Nelwin – mac kase – pero unavoidable and inevitable na ang mga bagay na yun). Wala akong major problem na inasikaso. Sa paningin ko, ok ang lahat. Everything is in order I said. Cool ang game na ginawa nila for the ladies and the gentlemen. Sobrang enjoy even those who are only watching. If you're planning to hire Ria's team on your wedding day (or debut or children's party or any other party for that matter) no worries because when she said she'll take care of it, believe me she will.
Just one tiny piece of reminder… remind Ria of her blocking…nakakatawa kase when the waiters opened the door and we entered the reception hall, imbis na kami ang nakita sa camera.. siya muna! Hahaha! Pero that's ok. We still enjoy the entrance walk cum dance
cum pagkakalat na pakana ni Ria. Hehe! Overall – they did a good job! ? If you're getting their services – drop my name, you might get a discount!

hi w@wies!

It has been almost 2 months after our wedding and we know we owe you all with our supplier ratings so here goes… (forgive the length!)

Preamble: My husband Glenn is an OC. When we started searching for suppliers way back in September 2006, he just doesn't give in to hearsays or referrals. He wants to see the output of these suppliers with his own eyes. Most of our suppliers had to go through my husband's scrutiny (although they don't know it hehe). He was so deeply involved with the preparations that he was the one who registered (and posts messages) at w@w (http://www.weddingsatwork.com). Yep – you guys have been chatting with my husband all this time. ? And this time, he wanted me to write the supplier ratings for all of you brides and grooms-to-be. If you're interested, our videos are uploaded at our multiply site… www.glennmichele.multiply.com

Rate Guide: 1 (lowest); 5 (highest)

At last, the shining star turned 18! haha. girls and guys, these are my pics when i celebrated my debut last august 23 at the Hotel Rembrandt. Obviously, the theme was Hollywood inspired, that's why I must look like one.. I designed all my gowns, the black one, was inspired by Anne Hathaway's gown last 2006 oscar awards (i think!).. hehe. The red one, unfortunately, didn't have the chance to wear it (aww..). The red/silver one, the design just popped-up on my mind, i was thinking of a playful yet elegant design then poof! haha. My hair and make-up was done by sir Jasper, a professional make-up instructor from Ricky Reyes.

The Set-up was really really incredible!! Thanks to One Wish events (Tita Ria).. My event coordinator was really reliable, from the preps to the day itself.. She really made my dream-party come true..=)

Of course, to my guests, thank you so much.. you guys really made my night fab and glam!! thank you.. it was like a full-trailer of my "past 17 years" movie! thanks thanks thanks.. hehe. for those who didn't make it, it's okay, i know you really want to be there, it's just that, there are some instances in our life that we have to choose the better option (drama!). hehe.

To my ever-loving FAMBAM (dad,mom,k.con,k.gelo,orlan) thank you very very much for the super-scenes you've contributed to my "past 17years" movie. and of course ate g, i learned a lot of things from u.. thanks! i love you so so much guys!=)

Lastly, I wanna thank God, I will never been this blessed without Him.=)

Again, thank you for the 17 years you've shared with me.. I'm looking forward to many more years with you..

next picture: MY CELEBRATION (of becoming one of the successful CPA lawyers!) wahaha.=)

We met Ms. Ria Madamba during the latter part of our preparation for our wedding at the Hotel Rembrandt, that was only last year. She was referred to us by the front desk officer of the hotel as their in-house wedding coordinator. Ms. Ria presented to us the services that they offer for a wedding celebration and how do they conduct such event. Eventually, we were convinced of her ideas and finally decided to get her as our wedding coordinator.

We had several meetings in preparation for the wedding. The program was prepared and explained to us for comments and possible revision. Fortunately, we don’t have much revision as to the flow of activities. We let Ms. Ria work on everything after giving her our instructions.

As a whole, the wedding turned out to be a successful and organized one, with of course the assistance of Ms. Ria and her team. Same commendation was also mentioned to us by some of our friends and relatives who witnessed the event. Ms. Ria and her team did a great job in our wedding. Our friends even ask her contact number because we really recommend Ms. Ria without any hesitation. No regrets of getting her as our coordinator because we are truly satisfied with the outcome of our wedding.

Ria Madamba & Jem Santiago

Event Planners / Wedding Coordinators

Two individuals with a passion for making other people’s wishes and dreams come true were put together by God in one event. That was seven years ago, the year 2000, at a debut party at one of the prestigious hotels in Makati.

Ria D. Madamba, a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration ventured out into the world of coordination in the late 90’s. With a passion for the arts and organization, she opted to concentrate on decorating and event coordination instead of being held up in the office with monotonous work. Since then, she has organized,  conceptualized and coordinated hundreds of different social and corporate events. With a keen eye for beauty and a heart that wishes to bring the best in one of the most unforgettable days for any bride or debutant or celebrator, she is able to make her client’s dreams and wishes come true.

The other half of this tandem is Jem  J. Santiago. Jem used to work as a corporate account executive for Hotel Rembrandt in Quezon City after graduating from the Assumption College, San Lorenzo Makati. In one of the social functions in that hotel, she was asked to host and entertain. The client was impressed at the articulation, confidence, wit and energy that she showed. From then on, Jem has been professionally emceeing and singing at weddings, debut parties, awards, product launches, birthdays and every other sort of social event.

Ria and Jem has been working side by side in coordinating and handling different events in and around Metro Manila. Their team has proven to be a perfect duo for even the most intricate wish and unreachable dream to become a beautiful reality for their clients.

Clients who have become dear friends of our  team can testify to the personal touch that they have experienced during the time they’ve spent with the coordinating team.

Fresh ideas, vivid concepts and a complete guide to making your own Wishes and Dreams come to life is this tandem’s mission and to fulfill every client’s desire to make any event worth cherishing is their vision.

We’ll make your   wishes & dreams  come true with every moment worth cherishing forever.
